Voted best on show 2011

The Miniaturia Guild of Cape Town holds an annual Fair and display all the member’s group projects. For the 2011 Fair, we all created Quadboxes.

Basically, it is a cube of 16″ x 16″ x 9″ with glass sides and diagonal dividers. The idea is that you have the corners of four rooms. It doesn’t leave a lot of space for large furniture but it still leaves a lot of scope for your imagination.

It was a great experience and I learnt so many techniques and skills putting my Quadbox together. My project was voted “Best of Show” and I am thrilled. Below are photos of each of the four sides of my Quadbox.

I am fascinated by the architecture and lifestyle of Medieval and Tudor periods and my favourite house is Peycocke’s House built in 1507 in Coggeshall in Essex UK and this was the inspiration for my Quadbox.
