This embroidery is done with all silk. Silk threads and silk ribbons, and lots of it. It is a different feel of thread and the piece has a sheen which is different from the usual matt cotton thread. My mom gave me a rainbow in a box for my 40th birthday. It was a wonderful selection of silk threads by House of Embroidery. Great stuff.
