Here is another of my fireplaces…
The hearth is made from egg carton which cuts and moulds really easily then painted.
The metal insert is pewter with a moulded design and wooden mantle. On this project it is the fire that is so clever because it is made from household silicone cat gravel and twigs with a straw in the back for a red LED to go into. So simple, so clever and I read it in an article on one of Rik Pierce’s marvels.
